I am Julián Martínez.
About Me.
I have been obsessed with the art of editing for most of my life. I love that there are no rules, and that it’s a discipline of exploration and collaboration. From shaving a few frames off of a cut to restructuring an entire film, you get to create new meaning in both the details and larger scope of the work. I’ve pursued this feeling – of focusing on the specifics to aid in building a greater whole– my entire post-production career.

I’ve spent the last year working on feature length documentaries, including the upcoming I Am: Celine Dion. Throughout these projects I deepened my understanding of the post-production process, assisting editors with multiple projects running at once and communicating with various finishing teams to bring the final version of the film to life.
